I remember watching Obama’s 2004 Democratic Convetion speech. Hillary and Chelsea sat with Jesse Jackson and the camera panned to them for a reaction shot. Hillary and Chelsea applauded with genuine pride, enthusiasm, and affection. (Little would they know what would happen 4 years later). The Reverend, on the other hand, looked pissed. He must have realized at that moment that he was no longer the leader of his community. A sure indication that Jesse is about himself and not what’s actually good for the country or his constituency.
